As the inaugural season of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 draws to a close, Infinity Ward has started to divulge some details about the upcoming Ashika map. Most notably among them is the revelation that beneath this sprawling landscape lies an underground waterway. As players prepare for the return of Resurgence mode in Warzone 2 with Ashika Island as its epicenter, they are sure to be scouring every screenshot and teaser for possible entry points into this subterranean realm.
The Tac-map reveal also showed seven distinct areas on Ashika, each boasting their own unique architecture and layouts. With such a wide variety of options available on one single island, it's no wonder why players were so skeptical when Warzone 2 first launched alongside Modern Warfare 2 in November 2022. Though DMZ has become popular amongst fans since then, it's clear that nothing could replace the intensity and thrill provided by Resurgence game modes like Plunder and Payload - until now!
In addition to uncovering what looks like small access points scattered across the coastline, more experienced players may find other pathways leading into these mysterious canals snaking beneath Ashika Island; potentially making it not only one of the largest maps ever featured in Warzone but also one rife with potential hiding places and ambush spots!
Call of Duty fans won't have much longer to wait before they get their hands on Season Two, as well as explore all that Ashika Island has to offer, launching February 15th! Until then you can expect Activision may roll out surveys gauging fan reaction towards legacy maps from previous entries in order to tailor future updates accordingly. Blackout from Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 being an option among many others.
