The Rennsport segment of this year’s Esports World Cup has reached a critical juncture. In this phase, the competition, which started with nine teams bound for Saudi Arabia, now sees only six remaining after the conclusion of the last chance qualifier.
The Rennsport event, the first tournament to finish in this edition of the cup, is currently in its group stage. Three teams were eliminated during the qualifier phase—Team Falcons, BS+ Competition, and Mercedes-AMG Esports Team MSI—and the remaining squads are now fighting for a spot in the next round.
The six teams still competing in the group stage are as follows:
Currently, Porsche is leading the field, while V.P appears most at risk of being eliminated next. The tournament rules dictate that the top three teams will advance to the bracket stage, the lowest-ranked team will be eliminated outright, and the teams finishing fourth and fifth must settle their positions in a lower bracket elimination match without any fallback option.
With the event slated to conclude on July 11 and a $500,000 prize pool awaiting the champion, all eyes are on which team will ascend to new heights and emerge as the champion.
