One of the more surprising films slated for release later this year is Hellboy: The Crooked Man. This installment offers a smaller budget take on the well-known comic book character. The production is being handled by Ketchup Entertainment, with Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden behind the screenplay. In this movie, Big Red will confront a twisted entity referred to as the Crooked Man.
With the release scheduled for autumn 2024, a new trailer has been unveiled. The trailer showcases Jack Kesy in the role of Hellboy, joined by Adeline Rudolph as Bobbie Jo Song, Jefferson White as Tom Ferrel, and featuring Leah McNamara, Joseph Marcell, Hannah Margetson, and Martin Bassindale in action as well.
In the film, the storyline is set in the 1950s, where rookie BPRD agent Bobbie Jo Song finds herself in a dire situation. Tasked with delivering a spider to the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense, she must seek the assistance of Hellboy. Together, they confront the malevolent Crooked Man, who has returned to Earth with the aim of harvesting souls for the devil.
