A44 Games, the creators behind the popular game Ashen, have officially released their latest venture, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, available now on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, including Game Pass availability. An alluring launch trailer featuring the main character, Nor Vanek's epic journey through the game's fantastical universe in a mission to confront the Gods.
The game dives into a tale of a mysterious gate known as the Door to the Great Below. Subsequently, its unexpected opening, which possibly involves Nor's enigmatic ally, Enki, leads to the intrusion of the undead and Gods into the realm. The pair must then combat a variety of adversaries to shut the gate and restore global balance, notwithstanding the resistance provided by the Gods.
In the gameplay of Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, players encounter mechanics reminiscent of Souls-themed games. Nor is armed with an ax and an array of guns to challenge enemies, while Enki supports in navigation and maneuvering. Other features include the acquisition of equipment with bonuses like enhancing melee attack range and three skill trees to boost close combat, mystical, or ranged damage.
