Fans of the series can rejoice as the second season of the Gen V spin-off has recently concluded filming. This installment, which takes place in the Supe college setting of Godolkin University, is on its way to being available for viewers.
The official Gen V social media account announced the completion of filming for season two, sharing heartwarming behind-the-scenes images featuring cast members such as Jaz Sinclair (Marie), Lizze Broadway (Emma), Maddie Phillips (Cate), London Thor (Jordan), and Derek Luh (also Jordan).
A recent report has revealed the addition of seven new performers to the cast: Keeya King, Stephen Kalyn, Julia Knope, Stacey McGunnigle, Tait Fletcher, Wyatt Dorion, and Georgie Murphy, who will take on recurring roles, although details about their characters remain undisclosed at this time.
The upcoming season is expected to continue the story from The Boys' fourth season, with some familiar faces from God U making appearances in the original series, following the dramatic conclusion of Gen V's first season. The initial sneak peek, presented privately at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, hinted at a new Dean at God U, portrayed by Hamish Linklater, and a cameo from Chace Crawford's character, the Deep.
Filming faced delays earlier this year due to the unfortunate passing of Chance Perdomo, known for his role as Andre Anderson, in March. The streaming service has confirmed that this character will not be recast.
While a specific launch date for Gen V season 2 is still pending, it is expected to premiere sometime in 2025. As anticipation builds, fans can explore our recommendations for other exceptional shows available on Amazon Prime Video to include in their viewing list.
