Rumours that EA and British developer, Codemasters, were set to announce EA Sports WRC have been confirmed. The duo unveiled the awaited game which is expected to premiere on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series consoles (excluding PS4 or Xbox One) on November 3, 2023. Those who pre-order get a three-day early access starting October 31, 2023, plus five VIP Rally Passes for post-launch content.

The game, the latest in the rally video genre, has been developed on the Unreal Engine platform which has enabled Codemasters to provide long and intricate stages, 18 official FIA WRC locations, 10 contemporary WRC, WRC2 and Junior WRC automobiles, over 600 km of travel terrain, and 68 classic rally cars. The developers believe the platform will significantly improve realism.

In addition to the above, the game is expected to feature 32-player cross-platform multiplayer, and personalized events known as Moments updated daily. These will offer players the opportunity to experience milestone WRC scenarios.
