This upcoming tournament marks the first international League of Legends event of the season, and excitement is building as eight confirmed squads prepare to compete. The competition stands apart from later global tournaments, as it is primarily designed for regional champions, featuring a limited field of teams.
The event is scheduled to kick off in March 16 and will showcase a unique format. Unlike other major tournaments, only eight squads will qualify, with most emerging from a single geographic region. Notably, both Korea's LCK and China's LPL contribute two teams each, adding a distinctive twist to the lineup.
The teams have been organized into two groups, each containing four squads. A double-elimination bracket ensures that a team must suffer two losses before being entirely eliminated from the contest.
