The latest update has confirmed that Counter-Strike 2 will take center stage at an upcoming international competition, making its debut alongside a selection of other competitive titles.
This renowned shooter will be featured as one of the 16 games competing at the Esports Nations Cup scheduled for November 2026. The event will span approximately five days and feature a contest in which 24 countries will vie for supremacy by contending for the ultimate trophy and championship title.
The process for determining which nations participate involves a two-phase qualification period running from July 6 to 19. Once the contenders are finalized, they will be organized into four groups, each consisting of six teams. Participants within these groups will compete for a place in the 16-team, single-elimination playoff bracket. The tournament formats are set as follows:
- Group stage fixtures are scheduled to take place on a… single-round basis.
- Playoff rounds will involve a best-of-three match format.
- The final round will be decided in a best-of-five series.
