Blizzard has announced that it will be making a change to the way that the 500 Maelstrom mount is awarded in World of Warcraft. The current system awards the mount to players who complete the quest line associated with the Maelstrom zone, which was introduced in Cataclysm.

However, after receiving feedback from the community, Blizzard has decided to make the mount available to any player who completes the quest line, regardless of whether they have finished the Maelstrom zone.

World of Warcraft is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) that was released in 2004 by Blizzard Entertainment. The game is set in the Warcraft universe and has players taking on the role of characters of various races and classes in order to complete quests and interact with other players.

One of the features of the game is the ability to obtain mounts, which are used to travel around the game world faster. Mounts can be obtained through various means, including completing in-game quests, purchasing them with in-game currency, or acquiring them through real-world means.

One of the mounts that can be obtained in World of Warcraft is the 500 Maelstrom mount. This mount is awarded to players who complete the quest line associated with the Maelstrom zone, which was introduced in the Cataclysm expansion.

This change will take effect in the next major content patch for World of Warcraft.
